Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting floral arrangements, plants, and gifts by providing knowledgeable advice and friendly service
• Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise displays, and ensuring products are well-presented to maximize sales opportunities
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for cash handling, transactions, and order processing while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Handle cashiering duties including processing payments, issuing receipts, and balancing cash registers at the end of shifts
• Contribute to merchandising efforts by setting up attractive displays that highlight seasonal items and promote sales
• Support e-commerce activities by preparing online orders for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain organizational efficiency through inventory management, stock replenishment, and keeping the store tidy and welcoming
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure clear understanding and excellent service
• Assist with floral design projects or horticultural tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our offerings, if applicable.

Requirements

• Previous experience or interest in floristry or horticulture is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic retail math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
• Ability to stand, walk, lift moderate weights (such as plants or supplies), and perform physical tasks associated with gardening and stocking duties
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with floral design or merchandising is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific technical skills
• Reliable team player who demonstrates initiative and attention to detail
