Color Production Specialist

Franklin Imaging is in a fast-paced sign and visual communications company that is involved in the sales, service and installation of custom graphics and signage. We are hiring a Color Production Specialist.
As a Color Production Specialist, you will be responsible for all aspects of sign and wide format print production and finishing. In addition to hands-on duties, you will be responsible for operating wide format printers, a CNC router, laser engraver and other assorted equipment. This position will require someone who is organized, has an eye for detail, and the ability to focus on multiple projects at once. The successful candidate is creative, self-motivated, deadline driven, team player who can work in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional customer service skills. Previous sign experience is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow work order instructions to produce signs and graphics.
- Operate wide format printers, laminators, routers.
- Coordinate printing ques of high-volume orders in conjunction with custom orders.
- Prepare substrates for production, which may include measuring, cutting, cleaning.
- Sign production, installation (interior/exterior), and sign design as needed.
- Operate a roll laminator and mount digital prints to a variety of substrates.
- Perform quality assurance checks both pre- and post-production.
- Perform routine machine maintenance on printing and cutting equipment, and minor repairs when necessary.
Experience/Skills/Qualification:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent), additional training or experience in graphic design or Pre-press a plus.
- Proficient with computer software programs: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office (current versions).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, vendors.
- Strong math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa).
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment to output high volume, high quality work.
- Light power equipment experience.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to lift 50 or more pounds.
- Installation experience with vinyl, wall covering, and/or Environmental Graphics are a bonus.
- Sign-shop experience a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
