Job Overview

IgniteFit is a boutique personal training gym in the heart of Coral Gables. With a passion for health and wellness, we inspire our clients to live more active and healthy lives. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who can flexibly work at both our satellite and primary locations (they are very close to one another).

This position will primarily be responsible for overseeing small group exercise sessions in a private, satellite location. These sessions will run Monday through Friday, mornings and evenings. Additional hours are available through 1-on-1 personal training sessions at our primary location. The two locations are less than a 5 minute drive apart, or less than 15 minutes by bus or foot.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fitness training, program design, and physiology. They will need to be somewhat flexible and comfortable managing their own time. Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual assessments to understand clients' fitness levels and goals.
  • Design personalized training programs that incorporate various exercise modalities.
  • Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques and body mechanics to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Lead small group fitness classes as needed, fostering an inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust programs as necessary to maximize results.
  • Educate clients on the principles of anatomy, physiology, and nutrition as they relate to fitness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized training area to enhance the client experience.
  • Engage in sales activities to promote personal training services and retain clients.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of gym operations and equipment usage.
  • Proficiency in program design tailored to individual client needs.
  • In-depth understanding of human physiology and anatomy.
  • Background in physical education or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in group fitness instruction is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire clients.
  • Strong understanding of body mechanics to ensure safe exercise practices.
