Denver, Colorado, United States Town Hall Collaborative Full time $45,000 - $70,000 per year

About Town Hall Collaborative

Town Hall Collaborative
is a queer, women-owned bar and event venue in Denver's Santa Fe Arts District. We're rooted in community and creativity, and everything we do is built on inclusivity, authenticity, and connection. We host everything from weddings and concerts to markets and casual nights at the bar and what makes us different is that we're an inclusive and flexible space. Our mission: create unforgettable experiences where every guest feels seen, welcomed, and celebrated.

The Role

We're looking for a dynamic, people-centered Event Manager to lead our growing events program. This role blends sales strategy, client experience, and event execution -  turning inquiries into unforgettable celebrations. The Event Manager will own the full event lifecycle: cultivating leads, guiding clients through planning, coordinating logistics with our bar and ensuring every event runs seamlessly from start to finish. This is a strategic role shaping our event offerings, strengthening partnerships, and contributing directly to revenue growth. The ideal candidate combines strong sales capabilities with a passion for hospitality, creativity, and genuine human connection.

Key Responsibilities

Event Sales & Client Experience

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all events - from weddings to corporate gatherings to community celebrations
  • Conduct tours and consultations, showcasing Town Hall's flexibility and unique vibe with the goal of converting leads into confirmed bookings
  • Draft and manage event contracts, proposals, and invoices
  • Maintain our booking software to ensure accurate records and reporting
  • Lead planning meetings and walkthroughs with clients and/or coordinators as needed
  • Collect and organize event timelines, floorplans, and special requests

Event Planning & Execution

  • Partner with clients to design events that reflect their vision and our ethos
  • Coordinate logistics with internal bar/operations staff and external vendors (e.g. food trucks, catering, rentals, entertainment)
  • Oversee on-site event execution and troubleshoot as needed to ensure seamless experiences
  • Maintain quality and consistency across all event types — weddings, shows, and private and community events
  • Build and maintain event-day timelines/run-of-show
  • Lead a weekly event alignment meeting with leadership and department leads

Business Development & Growth

  • Partner with ownership to refine pricing, sales strategy, and event package structure to meet annual revenue goals
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly revenue targets with clear tracking and reporting
  • Build and nurture relationships with industry organizations to expand event reach and create partnerships
  • Track and report on lead conversions, event mix, and profitability to inform strategic decisions and future offerings

New Event Acquisition & Calendar Growth

  • Increase event rentals and bookings to meet quarterly and annual revenue goals
  • Own the outbound sales pipeline — follow up on all leads, re-engage past inquiries, and actively pitch available dates and packages
  • Build and nurture referral relationships with wedding and event planners, photographers, creatives, vendors, and aligned community organizations to create steady inbound inquiries
  • Pitch Town Hall as the venue partner for recurring series, workshops, corporate offsites, and community collaborations

Community & Brand Alignment

  • Ensure every event reflects our mission to create spaces where everyone feels welcome and celebrated
  • Represent Town Hall at community events and networking opportunities

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of event planning and/or venue management required
  • Exceptionally strong sales instincts and ability to close bookings while delivering an authentic, values-aligned client experience
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships with warmth and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Weekend and evening availability (events often occur outside standard hours)

Perks & Benefits

  • Flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional development
  • Creative, collaborative team environment; access to community events and professional networking within Denver's arts and hospitality scene, bar and coffee beverage discounts
