This Sr. DevOps Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining DevOps infrastructure for Bracco Medical Technology's (BMT) global portfolio of medical devices. As a member of the BMT's global R&D software engineering organization, this role will collaborate and understand the needs of the software development team, setup automated build, and deployment infrastructure for the code developed by the software team. This role will also interface with the IT team to provide requirements for the IT infrastructure needed to setup the DevOps infrastructure that meets the current and future needs of the Software team. They will also document this process to update Software Development Lifecycle process of BMT to accurately reflect the steps in automated build and deployment process. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards as documented in the Quality Management System (QMS).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain existing tools and infrastructure for software development in regulated medical device product development environment.
- Collaborate with team of software engineers and establish CI/CD (continuous Integration/continuous deployment) pipelines using appropriate tools.
- Maintain and manage a shared build environment, integrating both on-premises servers and Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate existing automated tests to be run on a regular cadence on automated builds.
- Establish and maintain code artifacts like binaries, packages, files etc. in a repository manager tool.
- Work with IT to provide infrastructure needs required to build and maintain the DevOps infrastructure.
- Run static code analysis, security vulnerabilities and open-source packages scanning as part of the automated build infrastructure.
- Migrate existing on-prem DevOps tools to cloud infrastructure collaborating with the IT department and tool vendors.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and trends in the DevOps and cloud space, particularly those relevant to the medical device and healthcare sectors
- Demonstrate expertise in various build systems including CMake and Azure IoT Hub and Edge Devices, to support diverse project needs
- Perform work in adherence to the BMT Quality Management System (QMS), including development and maintenance of documentation
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Minimum
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Maintain Azure DevOps organization for multiple software projects, designing and implementing various build and deploy pipelines.
- DevOps for Enterprise software architecture - B2B, scalable, preferably cloud driven but also on-prem experience, preferably in Healthcare IT.
- 5+ years of experience setting up and maintaining DevOps, CI/CD infrastructure
- Experience working with tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, GitLab etc.
- Experience with security tools like SonarQube, Blackduck, WhiteSource, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell.
- Knowledgeable in an agile software development and DevOps concepts.
- Self-motivated to drive initiatives to improve software build process and increase efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related Science or Engineering discipline.
- Experience managing Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).
- Experience with Power BI, Terraform and Ansible.
- Familiarity with IHE Technical Framework, muliti-vendor collaboration and set-up for structured testing like Connectathon.
- Knowledgeable in Cybersecurity, CISA bulletin and FDA guidelines on cybersecurity for medical devices.
- Experience working with medical device software development under a QMS system
- Fluency with clinical radiology terminology.
- Knowledge of QSR, ISO/EN and Quality System Standards.

- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $133,000 - $146,000 yearly
*Estimated Starting Salary Range is reflective of the range Bracco Medical Technologies reasonably expects to pay for the position. The range provided is based on salary and market data specific to the position.
