About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Lead SAP Security Consultant
to oversee and manage all aspects of SAP security across our client's landscape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP roles, authorizations, GRC, and compliance, as well as demonstrated experience in
managing stakeholder and audit expectations
. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance technical and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP security and compliance initiatives across SAP S/4HANA and related systems.
  • Define, implement, and maintain SAP role-based access controls and authorization concepts.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment of security standards with operational requirements.
  • Serve as the
    primary liaison between audit teams and IT
    , ensuring timely delivery of controls, evidence, and documentation.
  • Oversee remediation of audit findings and ensure continuous compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., SOX).
  • Manage user provisioning, segregation of duties (SoD) analysis, and role design optimization.
  • Support project teams during system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations by providing expert guidance on SAP security impacts.
  • Develop and maintain SAP security policies, procedures, and best practices documentation.
  • Mentor junior security analysts and coordinate workload across cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience
    in SAP Security and GRC Access Control.
  • Proven experience in leading SAP security initiatives across multiple SAP modules (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Fiori, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of
    SoD, risk management, and audit control frameworks
    .
  • Prior experience managing stakeholder expectations and delivering audit/compliance reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with
    SAP Cloud (BTP)
    or hybrid landscapes.
  • Familiarity with
    SAP Identity Management
    or
    Azure AD integration
    .
  • Prior consulting experience in the
    biopharma, manufacturing, or regulated industries
    .
