Diesel Mechanic Service Technician

Northland Farm Systems is looking for an experienced and highly skilled diesel mechanic to join our dedicated team. We are a leading authorized dealer of Bobcat, Manitou/Gehl and Kioti equipment - brands synonymous with quality and reliability in the compact equipment industry. About the Position:

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, mini excavators, and other attachments. Our ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong diagnostic skills who can perform complex repairs, as well as routine maintenance, to keep our customers' equipment operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrains using specialized diagnostic tools and software.

· Troubleshoot, repair and rebuild major components and systems on heavy equipment.

· Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections according to manufacturer specifications.

· Complete work order and service forms accurately and promptly.

· Assist with the final assembly and preparation of new equipment.

· Maintain a clean and professional work environment, including keeping tools and equipment in excellent condition.

· Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic, preferably with Bobcat, Manitou/Gehl or similar compact equipment.

· Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, schematics, and service manuals.

· Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· A valid driver's license with a clean record is required; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.

· Ability to work independently and part of a team.

· Your own set of tools, or the ability to obtain them.

Northland Farm Systems is a locally owned short line implement, construction and turf dealership located in Owatonna Minnesota that has been in business since 1978. Our sales department carries a large selection of new and pre-owned inventory. We have a full-service shop, large parts department, and a variety of equipment available for rental.
