Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process title documents for new and used vehicles.
  • Answer & Direct Front Desk Calls
  • Verify title information, lien releases, and legal ownership.
  • Submit and track title and registration paperwork with the appropriate DMV
  • Maintain records of title transactions and ensure all documentation is properly stored and accessible.
  • Communicate with customers, lenders, and state offices to resolve title issues or discrepancies.
  • Calculate and collect fees such as taxes, registration, and title transfer fees.
  • Reconcile title and registration payments and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Process trade-ins and ensure correct payoff and title work with lienholders.
  • Stay current with changing state laws and DMV procedures related to title processing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in a title clerk role, preferably in an automotive dealership is preferred but not necessary
  • Knowledge of title laws and DMV.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based environment with occasional travel to DMV.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
