The Maintenance Worker II, under general supervision, performs maintenance and repair work.Responsibilities:-Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and service work on machinery, equipment, and fixtures.-Performs maintenance, construction, and repair work.
-Performs inspections of operating machinery, equipment, utility systems, and building accessories and appliances to ensure proper maintenance and repair.
-Monitors heating and cooling systems for proper function and correct temperature.
-Assists in planning and/or supervision of major repair projects.
-Operates machinery to include table saw, band saw, jointer, drill press, hand tools, trencher, and cherry picker.
-May install new electrical and plumbing lines
-May perform welding in heating, cutting and brazing of ferrous non-ferrous metals with acetylene electrical equipment.
Education and Experience:-High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.-Two years of related experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:-Knowledge of maintenance procedures. Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions.-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to make close measurements and works with accurate dimensions.
