Duties (other duties may be assigned)

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial properties, including plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC
  • Follows daily, weekly, monthly and annual PM schedules
  • Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively
  • Participate in maintenance projects and coordinate with other team members as needed.
  • Perform welding tasks when necessary to repair or fabricate components.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Assist, as needed, production to train operators on TPM's set ups and change overs of machines
  • Provide safety training to outside contractors and employees (fire extinguisher's) and lock out / tag out)
  • On call for emergency assistance as needed
  • Reports daily activities into work order system
  • Participates in the EH&S and Kaizen projects and teams including risk assessments

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems
  • Leadership skills with experience in supervising projects or teams is a plus
  • Proficient in reading schematics and technical manuals
  • Ability to perform welding tasks is advantageous but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards
  • Communication skills
  • Mechanical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
  • Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience

A combination of experience and education
