Summary
We are seeking a PRN Hotline Assessor to join our team at Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center. This as-needed role offers up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. You will be pivotal in assessing the needs of individuals reaching out for assistance and connecting them with the appropriate resources, directly supporting our mission to provide holistic care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments for individuals contacting the hotline to determine their immediate needs.
- Provide crisis management support and connect clients with appropriate resources.
- Accurately document interactions in compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with outreach teams to facilitate seamless service delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance assessment skills and knowledge of available services.
- Support clients in navigating housing options and wraparound services.
Requirements
- Experience in crisis management or direct support roles is essential.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling practices is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of medical documentation standards is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work as-needed, up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

- Are you comfortable handling calls from individuals in crisis, including those experiencing mental health challenges or emotional distress?
- Hotline operates between 8am-8pm, Monday-Friday. Are there any days and times that you would not be available?
- Are you comfortable using a computer to document calls and access resources while on the phone?
- Are you able to independently operate and troubleshoot basic technology equipment (e.g., headset, computer, internet connection) while working from home?
- This role requires a brief computer skills test during the hiring process. Are you willing to complete this assessment?
