UPS Field Service Technician

GENERAL SUMMARY
Titan Power is a specialty contractor providing turnkey solutions for critical power infrastructure — from design and installation to maintenance and emergency service. We take pride in delivering professional, reliable, and expert support for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and related power quality equipment.
As Titan Power continues to grow, we're expanding our service capabilities to include in-house electrical work. We're seeking a skilled, motivated technician who wants to advance their career into UPS and critical power systems maintenance with the potential to contribute to our long-term goal of building a fully self-performing electrical team.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of single-phase and three-phase UPS systems, battery systems, power distribution units, and related power quality equipment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of their equipment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain clear, professional communication with clients while performing service work.
- Schedule maintenance activities efficiently to meet customer and company needs.
- Complete service reports, timesheets, and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors regarding project status, technical issues, and customer needs.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development related to UPS, battery, and power quality equipment.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency services and respond to customer needs promptly.
- Contribute to the company's growth into self-performing electrical work, supporting in-house installations and wiring projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical work.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical, circuits, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel within the service region (30–50%) and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and tact in all customer interactions.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and computer literacy skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with UPS or related power quality equipment.
- Technical degree or certification in Electrical or Electronics Technology.
- Familiarity with UPS and battery systems (Toshiba, APC, Eaton, Vertiv, etc.).
- OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or equivalent safety certifications.
- Prior experience with power backup systems, generators, or data center infrastructure.
- Electrical license or formal training in electrical systems.
- Factory or field training in the repair and maintenance of one or more leading UPS brands.
