Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fine dining environment and possess a passion for creating exceptional dishes. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety, and maintaining kitchen standards. Your expertise in menu planning and food handling will contribute to our restaurant's success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish presentations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain quality and safety.
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
  • Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of menu planning and ability to adapt recipes for dietary restrictions is a plus.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional food service.
