Low Voltage Project Manager & Estimator
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Low Voltage Project Manager and Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with telecom, data, security, access control, and AV systems, along with a solid background in construction management and project coordination. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, timelines, resource plans, and complete bid submission packages for commercial and residential low-voltage projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed proposals and bids for low-voltage systems in commercial and residential environments
- Conduct site surveys, walkthroughs, and client meetings to gather project requirements
- Collaborate closely with construction and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of low-voltage systems
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
- Implement and maintain cost control measures throughout all project phases
- Source and negotiate competitive pricing for materials and subcontracted services
- Provide construction estimating support for low-voltage scopes of work
Qualifications
- Proven experience with low-voltage system installation, design, or maintenance
- Strong background in electrical work and/or construction management
- Understanding of project management principles and best practices
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost control and vendor management
- Experience with construction estimating (preferred but not required)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Compensation
- Base Salary: $55,000
- Commission: Commission and performance-based bonuses tied to project profitability; uncapped earning potential
