The Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center is seeking an Social Work Supervisor to join our team. This position is a terrific opportunity for someone to gain additional experience and make a difference in the lives of our clients.
For over 45 forty-five years, our organization has provided mental health and holistic services in northern Manhattan for families, children, adolescents, and other adults including the elderly in a supportive and caring environment. We also have an out-patient and residential substance abuse program as well as a Therapeutic Preschool for 3-5 year olds.
Upper Manhattan Mental Health Center is a Certified National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Social Work Supervisor
Location: Adult Outpatient Dept.
Hours: 35 hrs. per week
Union: Non-Union
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- LCSW to supervise therapists at an Article 31 Clinic, serving adults, enhancing quality, efficiency, productivity, and client engagement of the clinic.
- Provides clinical supervision and training to therapists and interns.
- Monitors clinical productivity, documentation, and treatment planning.
- Supports therapists in discharging clients and referring to external supportive services.
- Owns clinic audits and adheres to OMH reporting requirements.
- Oversees clinical staff adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Prepare written reports on unit activity.
- Assist with the recruitment of staff.
- Participate in or lead unit staff meetings and case conferences.
- Attend interagency conferences, meetings and training as designated.
- Serves as a point of communication between clinicians and the program director & assistant director about clinical needs and concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Children's Services
Reports to: Director of Program
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- LCSW required and degree from an accredited School of Social Work
- Experience in working with children and families
- Knowledge of range of treatment modalities applicable to the program's client population
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75, $80,000.00 per year
