Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including infants and toddlers. The Childcare Provider will engage in educational activities, manage behavior, and support the individual needs of each child.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
  • Assist children with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
  • Foster positive relationships with children while encouraging social skills and emotional growth.
  • Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
  • Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a cohesive care plan for each child.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones.
  • Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support children's emotional needs.
  • First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification is required.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create engaging activities that cater to different age groups including toddlers and infants.
  • A nurturing demeanor combined with handling diverse situations.
  • Background in teaching or caregiving is highly valued.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
