Job Summary:

Primary Home Care is a Medicaid supported program that provides assistance with daily living to clients through the employment of attendants. The PHC (Primary Home Care) Coordinator is responsible for overall coordination of caregiving services. The position coordinates supervision of our caregiving staff, new client intake, authorizations, visit maintenance, and care with the caregiver and client. The position will report directly to the Administrator.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform and monitor daily maintenance of electronic visit verification (EVV) data for all PAS attendants in HHAexchange.
  • Monitor proper usage of EVV reason codes, client visit entries, and runs checks and balances prior to processing of payroll/submission of claims.
  • Assist with updating client status and service plan information in HHAexchange as necessary.
  • Oversee all claims submissions and billing for third party payers, including Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, and DADS.
  • Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors. Import/post payments from all payer types and clerical filing of claims, EOBs, and all other billing related documentation.
  • Communicate with case managers, practitioners, and others partners to facilitate client services and to ensure client continuity of care.
  • Assist in preparing payroll twice monthly or as needed.
  • Special projects and other tasks as assigned by the agency's Administrator.

Job Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: At least 1 years of experience in a health-related setting, such as a home and community support services agency. Primary Home Care (PHC), CAS, and PAS program experience is key. Experience with HHAexchange is required.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrates proven decision making skills. Must read, write and comprehend English. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay and professional public. Shall be able to read, write and comprehend English. Proficiency with Spanish and home care administration is a plus.

Experience:

  • PAS/CAS/PHC: 1 year (Required)
  • HHAexchange: 1 year (Required)
  • Medical Billing : 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Auto Insurance

Work Location: One location
