Our San Antonio practice is searching for an experienced full-time Dental Assistant to join our exceptional team of doctors and staff dedicated to providing top-notch dental care. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of dental assisting experience and be confident in taking X-rays, performing digital scans using an iTero scanner, and working within Dentrix software. We're seeking someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a warm and welcoming demeanor. Excellent customer service skills are a must, as we take pride in creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

This full-time position will work Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Fridays 7:30 AM - 12 PM (NO WEEKENDS)

Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming, soothing and customer service focused experience for patients.
- Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort.
- Take diagnostic x-rays using standard dental radiographic equipment.
- Assist the Dentist with a high level of partnership through four handed dentistry.
- Arrive prepared for each day and review patient charts for morning huddle.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures when needed.
- Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patient's chart.
- Manage lab cases and schedule patients as needed.
- Assist with other office duties as requested or needed.
Skills:
- Proven experience as Dental Assistant
- Open to cross training to support our teamwork focused office approach.
- Effective time management skills and able to support a steady flow in Dr's schedule.
- Able to be flexible and multi-task to meet the needs of a busy schedule.
- Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Welcoming and patient personality with an ability to build rapport with others easily.
- Great attention to detail and follow through.
- Dental terminology knowledge and ability to educate patients regarding procedures.
- Experience with Dentrix
