Job Summary

Hobbytyme Distributors is hiring a hardworking, reliable and flexible warehouse associate to join our warehouse team. We are looking for someone has experience in receiving goods as they arrive, inspect and document condition and quantities received and stocking newly receiving goods into the existing inventory.

This position requires communication skills

ensuring that they are in the correct location and logical order.

Duties

  • Receive and unload the goods when they are delivered and determine whether the quantity of goods received match the invoice quantity and noting exceptions.
  • Inspect the newly received goods for damages and complete documentation of damages.
  • Provide documentation and communicate damages and shortages to management.
  • Place goods into existing inventory while making sure they are in the correct location and logical order.
  • Stage the newly received goods in order that the receiving team can place goods into existing inventory efficiently and priorities for goods in high demand.
  • Maintain a well organized and clean warehouse.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a warehouse in receiving and shipping.
  • Strong attention to detail. Accuracy in inspecting, documenting goods received and the placement of goods into the existing inventory.
  • Interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively with delivery drivers, warehouse teams, office staff, sales team and management.
  • Be able to lift heavy and bulky boxes and have stamina to stand, bend and move for extended periods.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
