We are currently seeking a software/firmware developer with strong programing skills to join our Software/Firmware Application Development team. Must be conversant in some, or all, of the following: C++, C#, .NET API, SQL, and/or embedded C. The position requires you to be a self-starter with skills in design, coding, database access and software testing with a strong understanding of process flow.

You'll be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full product development life cycle, from conception to general availability with support for manufacturability. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, the use of Visual Studio, AI, Machine Learning and use of a Data Lake are a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and upgrading the existing company software, used to control devices, testing and tools for customer use after deployment.
  • Assist with the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications.
  • Work closely with management, hardware engineering groups, other development team members, and customer input, to understand and identify potential features and solve issues.
  • Follow guiding principles of analysis, development, and deployment of software.
  • Track progress through the software lifecycle.
  • Explore new technologies, such as the development of a Data Lake and use of AI or ML to extract meaningful data from the repository.

Qualifications

  • C++/C#/.Net development experience.
  • Responsive design principles.
  • GUI features for displaying large numbers of components and generation of user reports.
  • Graphing libraries and Time-series data analytic displays.
  • An understanding of User Interface design for quality User Experiences.
  • Software and product lifecycle management awareness.
  • A desire to explore new technologies and UX methodologies.

Education/Experience requirements:

Computer Science or Software Engineering Degree
