WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Select, train, supervise, develop, discipline, conduct performance reviews, and counsel associates according to hotel policies and procedures. Champion a high-performance culture rooted in empowerment, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with Director of Rooms and Engineering in the repair and preventative maintenance program as it relates to guest rooms and public areas. Partner with Engineering to maintain an elevated physical product aligned with Hilton QA and our internal WBR service expectations.
- Maintain inventory of guest rooms and housekeeping supplies including all month end inventories. Implement strategic par-level planning and cost-efficient procurement processes to reduce waste and improve budget performance.
- Purchase all cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment. Source innovative, sustainable, and guest preferred products to enhance both cleanliness and the guest experience.
- Manage and control daily, weekly and monthly labor. Utilize forecasting tools and productivity metrics to optimize staff efficiency while maintaining service expectations.
- Ensure property operation meets internal audit standards.
- Demonstrate positive and consistent leadership characteristics to associates by providing an exceptional environment of great rewards, recognition and developmental training opportunities, which inspire associates to meet and exceed standards, and promote team member empowerment. Serve as a visible leader within the resort, fostering engagement, retention, and a culture of pride within the department.
SOME OF YOUR RESPONSIBILIITES INCLUDE
- Attends, as well as schedules and conducts departmental meetings.
- Perform in the capacity of any position supervised to include cross training.
- Reports all unsafe conditions immediately.
- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Must maintain a good working relationship with other departments, team members and guests.
- Plan, distribute, delegate and direct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual work assignments.
- Inspect public areas and guest rooms to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
- Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
- Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Management and supervision experience required. Five or more years in Operations or related experience required.
- Four-year college degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management preferred.
