About the Role:

We're looking for a front-end engineer with deep expertise in React and TypeScript, passionate about building modern, high-performance user interfaces. The ideal candidate is experienced in state management, responsive design, and modern CSS techniques, and is comfortable working within a monorepo environment. They should also leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

This position includes significant ownership over UI architecture and performance, with additional opportunities to improve frontend build tooling and testing systems. While this role isn't customer-facing, strong communication and documentation skills are highly valued.

Core Requirements:

● Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript

● Experience writing unit tests for React components

● Strong grasp of component architecture, typing, and prop design

● Skilled in Tailwind CSS and UI frameworks like Radix

● Proficiency with Zod and Axios

● Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or MobX

● Comfortable using Prettier, ESLint, and applying functional decomposition principles

● Ability to profile and optimize large-scale, component-heavy React applications

● Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable)

Nice to Have:

● Experience with frontend build tools such as Vite, Rollup, and yarn

● Strong UI design sensibility and ability to create polished interfaces without design specs

● Familiarity with React Query and Tanstack Form

● Expertise in bundle optimization

● Experience with UI testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium)

● Exposure to designless workflows

● Understanding of backend technologies like FastAPI, Postgres, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic

Based onsite in SF or NYC
