Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and helping cooks during busy periods.
- Ensure that all dishware is organized and stored properly after cleaning.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation processes is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by the role.
