Job Description

C Tran Truck LLC is a family-owned business seeking a qualified dump truck driver to safely deliver construction materials, such as stone, asphalt, millings, etc., to various job sites/locations.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Operates vehicle in a manner that shows safety is a priority.
  • Drives defensively at all times to avoid accidents.
  • Visually and manually inspects the inside and outside of the vehicle.
  • Follows a structured checklist to document the condition of the vehicle.
  • Documents improperly working items or damage to the vehicle.
  • Loads and unloads freight according to customer and freight handling specifications.
  • Secures cargo for transport.
  • Checks and protects freight during transport.
  • Maneuvers truck into loading or unloading positions and checks that vehicle loading and unloading equipment is properly positioned.
  • Interacts with customers in a pleasant and friendly manner.
  • Responds to customer complaints and issues calmly and professionally.
  • Obtains receipts or signatures when required.
  • Checks and documents the condition of the vehicle at completion of transport.
  • Documents all mileage and service hours to abide by D.O.T. log regulations.
  • Describes vehicle condition to Maintenance personnel when repairs are needed.
  • Completes all other daily responsibilities of a driving professional.
  • Attends safety meetings and training programs to remain up-to-date on safety policies and procedures and ensure that recurrent training is complete as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license in the state they reside.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Current DOT Medical Card (No older than six months old).
  • Acceptable driving record meeting company hiring standards, verified through a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Two years of driving experience.
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire driving test.
  • Ability to pass a D.O.T. level physical and drug/alcohol test.
  • Ability to pass physical abilities test.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Demonstrates characteristics of a team player.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
