Position: Outbound Sales Associate

Position Summary: Flora Fresh Inc. is an employee-owned wholesale floral, plant, and floral supply distributor located in Sacramento, California. As an Outbound Sales Associate you will share your time between supporting our Account Representatives and generating new business through outbound communications. You will ensure orders are entered into our point-of-sale system, answer incoming calls, and provide the support our Account Representatives need to ensure customer orders are processed on time. You will find this role is fast paced with a high volume of orders and your attention to detail and speed will help make us successful. This is an ideal role for someone wanting to learn more about Sales and customer account management.

Compensation:

· $ per hour

Sales Duties:

· Generate new business through outbound calls, emails, and face-to-face outreach.

· Follow through on sales leads within the floral and event industries.

· Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and decision-makers.

· Deliver excellent follow-up and customer care to ensure satisfaction and retention.

· Assist in new account setup and introduce new clients to their account representative.

· Report and provide feedback to management using statistical data.

· Accurately track, record, and report sales efforts.

· Follow-up/check in with new accounts to ensure successful business relationships.

· Input Sales Orders for plants, fresh cut flowers, and supplies into our point of sale.

· Convert sales orders into invoices in preparation for order delivery.

· Process invoices including payments for delivery and as needed in Will-Call.

· Answer and direct calls incoming to Flora Fresh Inc.

· Support our front-of-house retail when neededby providing excellent customer service while assisting with customer questions regarding substitutions, inventory, and sales.

· Assist with other operational functions as required.

· Box and carry out orders up to 50lbs.

· All other duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

· Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills

· Prior high volume data entry experience into any software or Excel.

· Excellent Excel, Outlook, and general computer skills.

· Experience in Customer Service and/or Sales, including cold calling.

· Proven ability to switch between projects and a willingness to take on projects that are outside the normal scope of the day-to-day work.

Preferred Experience:

· Previous administrative experience answering phones, managing a high volume of emails, and using an inventory management software.

· Working knowledge of plants, fresh cut flowers, and/or floral supplies.

Working Conditions:

· In-person in Sacramento, CA

· Most shifts are 8 hours, but hours may fluctuate throughout peak and slower seasons.

· Must not be afraid of heights and be able to use a ladder, stairs, and stock picker.

· Must be willing to stand, lift heavy object, and managed different temperature of the warehouse and coolers, on occasion.

· Must be able to consistently work around plants and flowers of different varieties.
