What You'll Do

• Review bid invitations, project plans, and specifications to determine scope, schedule, and resource needs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor quotes, and risk factors.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs to gather essential information for accurate pricing.
• Develop and submit complete bid packages and proposals by required deadlines.
• Coordinate with Operations and Project Management teams to confirm production rates, material requirements, and equipment utilization.
• Track awarded projects and ensure seamless handoff to the Operations team for execution.
• Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, industry standards, and client-specific requirements.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring processes for field and operations staff, including reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and supporting onboarding as needed.
• Promote and uphold the company's Safety-First culture by incorporating safety considerations into project planning and cost estimating.
• Maintain organized records of bids, cost data, and vendor/subcontractor contacts.
• Provide general support to the Operations and HR teams as needed.
• Assist with workforce planning and coordination for upcoming projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to meet company needs and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in underground utility construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and production rates for HDD, trench.
• Experience with cost estimating and relevant software
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Proven organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety and regulatory compliance.
• Recruiting or interviewing experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Pay Range: USD $60, USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
