Job Overview

Empower Mental Health Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Clinician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges and assisting them in their recovery journey via telehealth with potential for in person availability. You will develop treatment plans, facilitate therapeutic intervention, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients. Must be located in the Tampa Bay area for regular meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, and/or group therapy to clients presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, stress management, mood disorders, and relationship issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with other members of the client's treatment plan such as psychiatrists and psychologists as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and interactions in accordance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and therapeutic environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to mental health care.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in mental health counseling, social work, psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure in the state of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Registered Social Worker Intern in the state of Florida.
  • Must be located in the Tampa Bay area.
  • Experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, or groups preferred.
  • Ability to affectively establish rapport and engage clients from all backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help individuals improve their mental well-being.
  • EMDR or ART certification a plus.
