Janitorial Worker

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning tasks and an understanding of proper cleaning techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Handle floor care duties such as buffing, waxing, and stripping floors as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs or maintenance issues.
• Dispose of trash and waste materials in accordance with safety regulations.
• Assist with custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings as required.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
• Familiarity with floor care practices including buffing and maintenance.
• Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks as needed.
• Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
