Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing bids, and supporting project planning. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse commercial construction projects, utilizing your expertise in cost analysis, pricing, and contract management to contribute to successful project execution. The role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with estimating software.

Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects using Construct Connect, and other estimating tools
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and material requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to develop competitive bids and proposals
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to support cost control initiatives
  • Review and interpret construction contracts, change orders, and project documentation
  • Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates for budgeting and scheduling purposes
  • Conduct site visits when necessary to gather on-site data relevant to estimating activities
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference

Skills

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control methods, and pricing strategies
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications accurately
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners
  • Experience in construction site management or construction management is a plus
  • Familiarity with project management principles to support timely project delivery while maintaining budget integrity

Pay: $57, $69,575.88 per year
