Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Field Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems across multiple client sites. This role requires frequent travel to project locations, where you'll work on high-profile civil engineering projects, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency of HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, ensuring they are energy-efficient and compliant with industry standards.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC systems to determine causes of malfunctions and implement necessary repairs or replacements.

- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

- Perform preventive maintenance by cleaning and replacing filters, lubricating parts, and adjusting system settings.

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet client specifications and deadlines.

- Provide on-site customer support, educating clients on system operations, best practices, and maintenance schedules.

- Document all services performed in detailed service reports, including issues identified, repairs made, and recommendations for future service.

- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies when working on-site.

- Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and trends to provide innovative solutions for clients.

- Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and **in proper working condition.

- Respond to emergency service calls as required, including after-hours work.

- Train junior technicians and mentor apprentices as needed.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in HVAC systems are highly preferred.

- 3+ years of experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance, ideally in a field service capacity.

- EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required.

- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems related to HVAC systems.

- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.

- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently in the field.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work in varying weather conditions, sometimes in tight or difficult spaces.

- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

- Willingness to travel frequently to client sites.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
