Asset Protection Specialist / Security Guard

The Asset Protection Specialist is an integral role in our retail stores, responsible for security, asset protection, and the overall wellbeing of facilities, employees, and customers, as well as overseeing operational functions and inventory control.

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Support safety and security processes and procedures, including business continuity plans
  • Utilize CCTV to review video for safety and investigations and bring internal and external cases to closure
  • Lead weekly inventory cycle counts and partner with inventory operations to reconcile inventory variances
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to ensure shortage control, safety, and adherence to all asset protection policies and procedures
  • Responsible for physical security of the building as a keyholder, including off-hour alarm response
  • Train current and new team members on asset protection processes and systems to ensure proper compliance; guide new hires during onboarding
  • Collaborate with store management to support business needs and achieve store objectives
  • Investigate industry trends, understand market conditions, and develop asset protection strategies to stay ahead of potential risks
  • Identify internal and external theft incidents and properly document findings

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1+ year of asset protection or security experience
  • Strong understanding of physical security including CCTV, EAS, alarms, access control, and lock and key
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Customer-focused mindset with a drive to provide a warm and welcoming environment
  • Open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
