Job Summary:
As Engineering Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of design engineers performing a variety of design tasks overseeing project management, design, and execution of industrial material handling projects. You will contribute to design fulfillment and coordinate directly with customers, vendors, consultants, and the engineering team to oversee design work for projects throughout the United States and internationally. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for innovation in engineering processes.
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design and engineering of bulk material handling systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, operations, and sales, to deliver integrated solutions that meet customer needs.
- Coordinating and managing sub-contractors for structural and electrical engineering
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and processes to enhance product performance and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to support project success.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture within the engineering team.
- Develop overall design concepts for material handling systems and process plants.
Technical Experience Desired

· Interface with electrical and controls engineers
· Design and size pneumatic conveying systems
· Design and size material bulk handling systems
· Apply fluid mechanics, air flow, water flow knowledge to formulate process solutions
· Write technical specifications
· Perform field inspection and field measurement
· Participate in project meetings
· Interface with customers
· Develop drawings of process flow, equipment and piping layouts, schedules and details
· Sketch, mark up, discuss and confirm with CAD designer drawings produced for projects
· Check drawings produced
· Maintain document control records
· Manage client approval of drawings and submittals
· Document resolution of field I shop issues
· Travel to project sites and fabricators to verify compliance with approved design documents
· Pursue training in specialized areas of knowledge related to company's objectives
· Develop engineering design schedules and cost estimates

Professional Requirements and Experience:
Licensed Professional Engineer
Bachelors of Science or better from ABET accredited university
10+ years experience in the engineering field
2-3 years project management experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110, $130,000.00 per year
