DevOps Engineer
About The Role
We're looking for a
DevOps Engineer
who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building scalable, secure, and automated solutions. In this role, you'll help deliver end-to-end applications and infrastructure that enable high-velocity, reliable deployments. You'll work on larger projects as part of a team and take ownership of smaller initiatives independently.
A successful candidate will have hands-on experience with modern DevOps practices, tools, and automation, and will be comfortable designing and coding infrastructure modules, applications, and processes.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure services to support business-critical applications.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code principles.
- Ensure quality through clean code, thorough documentation, and strong ownership of deliverables.
- Deploy to production environments and provide ongoing production support, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve delivery speed.
- Mentor and guide team members on DevOps best practices, tools, and processes.
What You Bring
- Experience 3+ years in a DevOps or related role, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Cloud Expertise 3+ years working with AWS (or similar cloud platforms).
- Automation Skills
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Configuration-as-Code (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
- Systems Knowledge Strong Linux administration and engineering background.
- Scripting Proficiency in Bash, Python, Ruby, or Groovy.
- Version Control Experience with Git or SVN.
- Database Management Provisioning and managing MySQL or PostgreSQL in cloud environments.
- Containerization Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices deployments.
- Observability Familiarity with tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or SignalFX.
- Networking & Security Solid understanding of networking protocols, cloud security principles, and best practices.
- Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration abilities
