Are you a visionary leader with a passion for finance and a deep understanding of alternative investments? We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Executive Director to lead our Global Alternative Investments Trade Order Management team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the strategic direction and execution of our alternative investment operations, ensuring excellence and innovation in managing our diverse investment strategies.
As the Executive Director and Global Lead within J.P. Morgan's Private Bank's Alternative Investments Group, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to enhance and expand our alternative investment offerings. You will leverage your expertise to stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments, positioning J.P. Morgan as a leader in the alternative investments space. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering strong relationships with hedge/private equity funds, fund administrators, and our global investor community, ensuring the success of our investors and the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the strategic vision for the global alternative investments trade order management function, aligning with the broader goals of J.P. Morgan's Private Bank by providing strategic leadership
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to guide strategic decisions and product innovation through industry expertise
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, hedge/private equity funds, and fund administrators, to enhance our market position by focusing on investor relations
- Oversee the seamless execution of alternative investment strategies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all processes to achieve operational excellence
- Partner with internal teams, including compliance, legal, and operations, to drive initiatives that support business development and investment strategies through cross-functional collaboration
- Represent J.P. Morgan at industry conferences and forums, sharing insights and positioning the firm as a thought leader in alternative investments by demonstrating thought leadership
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration to support team development
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- A master's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in alternative investments, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic impact
- Relevant certifications such as Series 7/63 licenses
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute strategic initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence and engage with senior stakeholders and external partners
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to drive data-driven decision-making
- Experience working in a global context, with an understanding of diverse markets and regulatory environments
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- An established network within the alternative investments industry
- Experience with Legal Document review
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with trade order management systems and other financial software
