Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing is looking for a Full Time RN Admissions Nurse (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, can be flexible with afternoon/evening start time) whose primary duties are to meet and assess all new admissions. The RN Admissions Nurse plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to facilitate and deliver a seamless and comprehensive patient experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained, specifically through thorough and complete assessments
  • Ensures that a safe and effective resident care environment is maintained at all times
  • Assist in ensuring the facility is in compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Completes rounds of their unit to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations
  • Assists in ensuring customer service standards for the nursing department
  • Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy and dignity

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care setting
  • Licensed in NYS as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Compassion and desire to work with geriatric population
