Clinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
The Johns Hopkins Hospital- Bloomberg 9 South, Infant and Toddler Care is a 20-bed intermediate care unit that cares for medical/surgical patients between 0-4 years of age, and trached/vented patient up to the age of 9. The unit specializes in the care of cardiac/cardiac surgery and urological surgery patients. Other specialty services include GI, Pulmonary, Renal, and general pediatric services; and a variety of surgical services, such as Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastic, and General Pediatric Surgery. Patients are cared for by an interdisciplinary team that consists of nurses, physicians, social workers, case managers, child life specialists and other dedicated ancillary staff. Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
- One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
- Current CPR certification
Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
