Sales Account Executive
(in office – Traverse City, MI)

Thompson Retractor has an opportunity for an
Account Executive
. The Account Executive is responsible for ensuring Thompson's sales and customer service goals are met. Responsibilities include lead generation and follow up, assessing customer needs and recommending the best product solutions and upgrades, educating customers on offerings and troubleshooting, coordinating Free Trials, Purchases, and Service Orders through multiple hospital departments and contacts, gathering customer feedback, and providing continuous, punctual follow up with customers. Account Executives also make recommendations on marketing strategies and new product developments. These duties are done primarily over phone and email as part of an in-house office team environment with some tradeshow travel required.

Thompson is employee-owned, and vested employees automatically receive company shares.

What You'll Do:

  • Daily interaction with customers via phone and email to provide effective solutions and support. Customers include surgeons, or staff, hospital personnel, CEO's, other industry reps.
  • Timely and accurate data entry including: order processing, crediting, task generation, RMAs, and other account specific needs as requested by Account Executive or customer.
  • Accurate sales coding of all orders, quotes, and invoices.
  • Enter new leads/contacts and keeping contact info current in CRM.
  • Administer marketing mailers and emails produced by the Marketing Department.
  • Cold calling and customer research.
  • Communicate feedback to team members to improve our products, policies, and processes.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining performance tracking tools.
  • Expand sales efforts through follow up on marketing efforts such as tradeshow lead.
  • Maximize the use of reporting tools and data interpretation with Sales department and Data Analyst.
  • Support projects such as supplying vendor information, trial request forms, keeping data in CRM up to date.
