If so, Amazon's Network Engineering & Scheduling Technology (NEST) team is looking for an experienced Transportation Specialist with a strong record of achieving results, to own and drive accurate load scheduling for a quickly growing business segment. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building new businesses, solving complex problems for our customers, and establishing end-to-end transportation scheduling processes. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver worldwide shipments to and from our fulfillment centers and third-party locations. The NEST team needs exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people to design, develop, and improve our transportation systems.

Key job responsibilities
- Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed is a plus.
- Develop and/or understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
- Must be able to quickly understand the business impact of the trends and make decisions that make sense based on available data.
- Must be able to systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.
- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written as one may be required to create a narrative outlining weekly findings and the variances to goals, and present these finding in a review forum.

Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Are 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain or logistics
- Experience in analysis of large volume of data to drive analysis and to make decisions
- Experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
- 1+ years work experience in logistics/transportation industry
- Experience using SQL, Tableau, and/or Python
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of VBA, Macros, and merging datasets
- Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
- Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $40,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $66,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
