As a Security Officer - Education Patrol - Full Time in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for students, staff, and visitors. You will perform regular patrols, support access control, and respond to situations with professionalism and exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $14.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational campus and its perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or potential concerns encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clear and detailed documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors by providing information and guidance as needed while upholding security-related protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local emergency services when appropriate to support a secure environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
