Technical Solutions Architect

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Technical Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will serve as the lead technical design authority for our industry-leading case management product. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architecting complex, web-based enterprise solutions, combined with a deep understanding of integrations and complex data migration strategies.

This individual will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions. In the future, this role is expected to evolve into a leadership position, responsible for building and mentoring a dedicated team of solution engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of comprehensive solutions for new and existing customers, ensuring alignment with our product's core capabilities and strategic goals.
• Technical Discovery: Collaborate closely with clients, product managers, and implementation teams to analyze and understand complex business requirements, particularly those unique to the workforce development sector.
• Integration Strategy: Define and design robust API-based integrations with third-party systems, state-level databases, and other enterprise software.
• Data Migration: Architect and oversee the strategy for complex data migrations during implementation, ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal downtime.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality documentation, typically as contractual obligations, including solution designs, data flow diagrams, integration specifications, etc.
• Pre-Sales Support: Act as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) during the sales cycle, assisting with discovery calls, solution validation, and technical aspects of proposals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and implementation teams to ensure the successful delivery of architected solutions.
• Future Leadership: Develop the framework and vision for a future Solution Engineering team, with the potential to hire, train, and lead this team as the company grows.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in a Technical Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar role for a web-based, enterprise-level SaaS product.
• Technical Acumen: Proven expertise in designing complex, multi-tenant web applications, defining RESTful APIs, and architecting microservices-based solutions.
• Integrations: Demonstrable experience designing and implementing complex system integrations (e.g., SSO, file-based, real-time API).
• Data Migration: Deep understanding of data modeling, database design (SQL and/or NoSQL), and a proven track record of designing and executing large-scale data migration projects.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a passion for solving complex technical challenges.

Highly Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience in the workforce development, social services, or public sector domains.
• PIRL Reporting: Understanding of the intricacies of federal reporting requirements, particularly the Participant Individual Record Layout (PIRL).
• Enterprise Software: Experience with custom enterprise software implementations, case management systems, or government technology (GovTech).
• Team Leadership: Prior experience in a technical leadership or management role, or a willingness to move into such a position in the future.
