Facilities Supervisor - Facilities Maintenance / GPC Corporate Headquarters

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee and manage the maintenance operations at GPC Corporate Headquarters and other facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained to support our organization's needs. This role involves delivering consistent results by collaborating with a team of Senior Technicians to enhance practices that reflect the values and ethics of Southern Company.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the facilities maintenance team.

Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.

Oversee the repair and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.

Support job sites and technicians during critical and emergency situations related to data center infrastructure, storm center, and transmission control.

Review drawings, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and other documentation for construction, equipment maintenance, new installations, and equipment replacement/modification.

Mentor and train technicians to enhance their expertise in areas such as HVAC, fire and life safety (FLS), electrical components, safety, plumbing, and carpentry.

Provide coverage during Building Manager absences.

Utilize best practices for preventative maintenance and new construction, working collaboratively to complete tasks and projects safely and efficiently.

Assist Building Managers at regional locations with special projects and during staffing shortages.

Manage vendor relationships and coordinate external services as needed.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment, and supplies.

Prepare and manage the facilities maintenance budget.

Collaborate with the Building Manager to create purchase requisitions (PRs), purchase orders (POs), single source justifications (SSJs), and capital project requests for effective project tracking and budgeting within the assigned region.

Train and mentor staff, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and issues.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar supervisory role, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in maintaining and managing a critical site and class A high-rise building.

Experience with HVAC, plumbing, FLS, electrical systems, pumps, chilled water systems, blueprints, low voltage controls, and high-security key systems.

Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.

Excellent organizational, leadership, writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Lists, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Working Conditions:

This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address urgent maintenance needs.

The role involves working both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to various weather conditions.

• Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience (Must hold a valid driver's license for the class vehicle to be operated. Driving permits are not typically considered a valid driver's license). 
• Must have no revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application, no convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application, or any pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application.
