We are in need of adding another experienced and professional Controller to our successful Team.

Automotive Controller Job duties:

Show leadership in the daily operations of the accounting department and its Team Associates and more specifically:

  • Continue to grow Associates within our organizational structure and staffing.
  • Obviously reconcile the bank accounts along with all major receivables on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Complete all required reports for the Steve Serra Management Group on a regular basis.
  • Preparing financial statements by the 5th of each month for review with the Executive Team.
  • Reviewing all financial statements and ledgers, and working with the accounting staff to clear up any discrepancies and keeping the GM and Leadership Team abreast of any concerns on a daily basis. Keeping schedules up to date and apprising all of us
  • Preparing all taxes and filing forms with the Government with our Management Company and Leadership Team.
  • Meeting with the Departmental Leaders regularly to go over business matters and develop plans to increase EFFICIENCIES for our Customers and Associates.
  • Ensures all Human Resources and payroll functions are operational & works cooperatively with the corporate office to handle Associate and Customer issues as needed.
  • Assures that required HR training is completed for your Staff Associates before going on Payroll. Plus making certain before any Associate goes on payroll it meets all of HR requirements.
  • Cross-train your Office Associates and focus all raises on being tied to cross-training success stories- not just tenure. And always first try to promote from within

Automotive Controller Job Requirements:

  • (5) Years minimum previous Automotive Controller experience at the SAME operation is required with a Strong Volume Store/Group. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE (5) YEARS TENURED EXPERIENCE. This above anything else has the highest VALUE in our decision-making.
  • Automotive Controllers should have strong communication skills, customer service, leadership and organizational skills. Sounds easy but WE really want our Leadership positions to be engaged in our Associates on the front-line with the understanding we promote from within first
  • Excellent analytical ability and a delegating and follow-up leadership style.
  • Proficiency with Dealertrack DMS or (Reynolds/ADP) & Microsoft Office applications & the equivalent is a must.
  • Other standards are required…. A minimum of (10) references from the auto industry sector only, college degree and advanced accounting training is preferred value.
  • Lastly is your commitment & desire to make positive change in the auto industry for our Associates and Customers.
