What you'll do

As the resident care manager, you will ensure that residents live happy and comfortable lives. You will direct our care staff in their daily tasks to ensure that their time is optimally spent caring for residents. You will need to train caregivers and make sure that You will also plan and lead fun and engaging activities for residents, as well as anything else required to make sure our residents get the best care possible.

This position directly reports to the licensed provider.

Responsibilities

  • Intimately know and understand each resident's story and situation.
  • Is able to train every caregiver to care for all the residents.
  • Plan and oversee creative and fun resident activities.
  • Plan and oversee emergency evacuation drills.
  • Represent the home to specialists, guests, and family members with professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant WACs, RCWs, and house policies.
  • Be available for and provide exceptional on-call caregiving when required.
  • Onboard new care team members.
  • Onboard new residents
  • Coordinate caregiver shifts and their daily tasks during shifts.
  • Plan meals according to residents' needs and desires.
  • Interview potential care team members.
  • Expertly manage and direct care staff.

What you bring

Basic

  • English language fluency.
  • An empathetic heart for aging populations.
  • An organized, detail-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to work well with others.
  • Strong relational and communication skills.
  • Prior caregiving or admin experience.
  • Professional references.
  • Technological fluency

Preferred

  • Prior experience as a resident manager/admin at an adult family home is crucial.

Caregiver Management

  • Schedule and coordinate caregiver shifts.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire new caregivers.
  • Build, audit, monitor & enforce task lists on Synkwise for caregivers to perform.
  • Stay in constant communicate with care staff.
  • Meals, Chores, Cleanliness, etc. should be perfect for our residents & their family.
  • Activities: Each resident receives a minimum of three scheduled, meaningful activities per week. There should be suitable alternatives for residents who cannot participate in a group activity. These may include a modified activity or dedicated one-on-one engagement with a caregiver.

Customer Management

  • Answer the phone and represent the home to guests and family members. These might occur on the weekend or in the evening, and you are expected to answer them.
  • Be the front line for all of our customers.
  • Spend time with each of the residents in our homes. Talk with and learn about them and their family members.

Care / Vendor Management

  • Medication Input & Coordination
  • Doctor / vendor / hospital / PT / OT communication
  • Drafting and Updating Care plans
  • Visiting potential residents when necessary

Compliance

  • 100% compliance on the next inspection.
  • Get Somerset licensed for 8.
  • Get Eagle Creek licensed for 8.
  • Direct Fit Testing Program.
  • Direct Evacuation Drill Program.
  • Deeply understand compliance with Washington State regulations regarding adult family homes.
  • Ensure all homes are perfectly compliant & citation free
  • Caregiver Onboarding (TB testing, certifications, background checks)
  • Caregiver Continuing Education

Assist with other office administrative tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
