Senior Software Implementation Project Manager

Cincinnati Metropolitan Area, United States CADTALK Software Full time $88,000 - $132,000 per year

Senior Software Implementation Project Manager

This is a high-ownership role in a high-performance environment. If you prefer rigid structure or hand-holding, this isn't the fit.

About CADTALK

CADTALK connects engineering and manufacturing by automating the flow of data between CAD, PDM, PLM, and ERP systems. Our customers are global manufacturers who depend on us to make their engineering-to-production process simple, accurate, and scalable.

We're profitable, growing, and evolving our Professional Services organization to match our next stage of scale. This role will anchor that evolution.

Role Overview

You'll own the success of our most complex software implementation projects — where CADTALK integrates deeply with enterprise ERPs and PLMs.

This is not a coordinator role. You will
run delivery end to end
: scope, budget, timeline, and customer communication. You'll work alongside technical architects and implementation engineers, but you are the single point of accountability for getting the project live on time and within scope.

You'll also help shape how CADTALK scales project delivery — refining our playbooks, stage gates, communication rhythms, and delivery metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own project delivery
for assigned enterprise customers from kickoff through go-live and handoff.
  • Manage scope, budget, and timeline
    — create and maintain project plans in Rocketlane.
  • Lead recurring stakeholder updates, ensuring every customer knows status, blockers, and next steps.
  • Drive change-order process when scope shifts; protect margins and customer trust.
  • Coordinate work across architects, implementation engineers, and customer success.
  • Maintain project hygiene: definitions of done, documentation, and closure checklists.
  • Surface delivery risks early and escalate with data, not drama.
  • Capture lessons learned to improve our delivery playbook and stage-gate model.
  • Communication & Leadership:
  • Establish and maintain clear communication rhythms with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Translate technical updates into business language for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Model Radical Candor — balance empathy with directness to drive progress without friction.
  • Lead with transparency: communicate blockers early, share decisions with context, and close the loop on every issue.
  • Represent CADTALK professionally in all customer and partner interactions.
  • Mentor the broader PS team on project discipline, communication, and accountability best practices.

You'll Be a Fit If You

  • Have
5+ years managing complex B2B software implementations
(ERP, PLM, CAD, MES, or similar).
  • Have successfully led
technical teams you didn't directly manage
    — you know how to influence without authority.
  • Are comfortable running multiple concurrent projects with different partners and time zones.
  • Communicate with Radical Candor — clear, kind, and unafraid to address tough topics early.
  • Can translate between technical depth and executive clarity.
  • Default to systems thinking — you notice patterns and build process before chaos spreads.
  • Thrive in growth-stage environments where structure is still being built.
  • Are fluent with project tools like Rocketlane, Smartsheet, or Monday; bonus if you've built delivery dashboards.

Success Looks Like

  • 90%+ of projects delivered on time and within scope.
  • Clear visibility into every enterprise project's status and budget.
  • Positive customer feedback citing communication clarity and professionalism.
  • Documented, repeatable delivery processes that the next PM can follow.

Compensation & Reporting

  • Full-time, remote within North America.
  • Reports to: CEO (interim), transitioning to Director of Professional Services.
  • $88,000–$132,000 USD base, plus performance bonus.
  • Actual compensation will vary based on experience, location (U.S. or Canada), and demonstrated capability during the interview process.
