We are looking for a motivated self-starting individuals to join our team as Field Service Engineers. As a member of the team, you will work in house with our worldwide customer base to install retrofit kits, complete tools and help them with everyday troubleshooting.Our ideal candidate has experience in semiconductor field service performing tool installations, calibrations, helium leak testing, wafer handling robot teaching, electrical hook up and trouble shooting just to name a few. You should know how to read schematics, troubleshoot electronics and electrical systems, read assembly drawings and be able to work independently and stay on task.Main responsibilities:

  • On-site customer installation, service, modification, and repair of semiconductor equipment
  • Lead problem-solving and understanding of long term down equipment issues – troubleshoot
  • Execute equipment tests as directed by customer and headquarters
  • Maintain detailed records and reports as required
  • Respond to emergency service calls as required – analyze Tool Alarm and Abort data and fix
  • In-house technical phone support and training sessions
  • Interface with customers, vendors and partners
  • Provide training to customer in-house technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
  • Job location is in Hillsboro, OR with some world wide travel.

Skills and experience

  • 5+ years experience as an equipment engineer or semiconductor technician for semiconductor or related industries with clear understanding of general clean room and general fab safety protocols
  • Product support in Engineering Development or Field Service
  • Ability to learn and service troubleshooting electrical/electronic/mechanical applications and overall equipment problems
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
