The Bachelor's of Applied Science in Education Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the Applied Bachelor's Degree in Education. This position will be responsible for managing grants, including tracking expenditures, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. They will provide organizational and administrative support to the consortium team of LBCC and other Oregon Community Colleges, with a strong focus on advancing education pathways and student success.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Training:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Additional related administration and/or program management experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement.

Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of two years full-time experience in early childhood education, education, human services, or a related area, or a combination of education and experience that enables full performance of the position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with community college systems, student services, and education pathways.
  • Experience in grant management, including tracking, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate resourcefulness as a self-starter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).

Experiences:

Experience with higher education grants and compliance processes, business office protocols and Purchase card reconciliation as well as college invoicing processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Prior involvement with educator preparation, transfer pathways, or workforce development initiatives.
    Familiarity with consortium-based or multi-institutional projects.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
  • Requires the ability to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
  • Position has periodic job pressures due to meeting deadlines/timelines.
  • Frequent travel to community locations, meetings and events within Linn, Lincoln and Benton Counties.
  • Employees provide their own transportation.
  • Substantial time is spent working at a computer.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively over the phone, in person and in front of groups.
  • May be required to work occasional evenings and/or weekends.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for managing grant-related activities, including budget tracking, reporting, and invoicing in alignment with institutional and consortium requirements.
  • Support the Team Lead with project coordination, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, organizing notes, and distributing meeting invitations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications, reports, and related documentation.
  • Aid in the preparation and submission of program approvals/accreditation documents.
  • Communicate effectively with consortium managers and stakeholders across multiple community colleges.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timelines, deliverables, and compliance measures are met.
  • Apply understanding of curriculum development, assessment systems, and integration of course learning outcomes to support program goals.
  • Track student data using systems such as Banner and Google Sheets, providing leaders with tools to make data-informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with business office staff to support budget mapping, purchase card reconciliation, and other fiscal procedures.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
