The Opportunity:
Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers. As a Field Engineering Specialist:
- You will travel and showcase your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines
- You will offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory
- The role involves routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products
- You will serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance
- The position requires diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures
- You will document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction
This is a field-based role that requires daily travel and up to 20% overnight travel (40% overnight travel during the first year, training period). Our ideal candidate would reside within 30 minutes of Worcester, MA.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience are required
- 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience will suffice
- Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy is mandatory
- The ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience are required
- Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry
- The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships is essential
Relocation benefits are not available for this position.
The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Massachusetts, is $72, ,300 USD annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
