The Quality Control Associate will help inspect outgoing products and shipments to meet quality standards and specifications. Completing Final Quality check inspections that will play a key role in identifying and addressing quality issues early on and help reduce customer complaints and claims costs. 

A successful candidate must be able to:

  • Inspecting products and outgoing products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications

  • Verify all the documentation is accurate and matches before shipping

  • Check that the product is properly packaged and labeled and that all required documentation is included

  • Document the pallets' condition, including any visible damage, labels, or photos.

  • Confirm that the items are properly labeled and that all required documentation is included

  • Before loading any LTL pallets onto a trailer, verify that the correct customer and carrier information is provided.

  • Identifying issues with the customer or carrier information and informing the appropriate personnel

  • Prevent any discrepancies from being loaded onto pallets

  • Loading pallets with the correct customer/carrier information onto the trailer according to the manufacturer's recommendations and industry standards.

  • Document the results of the quality control check, including the pictures, to verify that the freight trucks have been properly loaded.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and communicating suggestions to management

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area

  • All other duties assigned 

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Ability to multitask and data collection 

  • Attention to detail and decision making

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management 

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and document 

  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production/shipping deadlines

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or quality control role preferred 

  • Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 100+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
