The Opportunity: Write the Playbook, Then Burn It
Owl AI is building the future of sports. Our AI platform provides objective, real-time intelligence for major sports properties (like the
X Games
). We are a scrappy, well-funded startup demanding a "player-coach" who can execute the work of multiple people using cutting-edge marketing technology and unconventional tactics.
We need a leader to build and execute two radically different GTM strategies:
- Enterprise B2B:
Selling a high-integrity, data-driven platform to major leagues. - Consumer B2C:
Driving hyper-growth and adoption of our performance product.
If you thrive on uncertainty, believe in high-leverage marketing over high-budget spending, and have a track record of using guerrilla marketing to seize market attention, you are the person we're looking for.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Execution (B2B & B2C)
- Dual GTM Ownership:
Develop, implement, and own two distinct, measurable marketing funnels: - B2B Enterprise:
Focus on Account-Based Marketing (ABM), thought leadership, and sales enablement to close high-value deals with sports properties. - B2C Consumer:
Drive hyper-efficient customer acquisition for our B2C platform using a D2C/product-led growth (PLG) mindset, optimizing CAC and LTV. - Guerrilla Marketing & PR:
Replace high-cost campaigns with unconventional, high-impact strategies. Identify and execute earned media, viral moments, and disruptive stunts that capture the imagination of athletes, fans, and league executives. - Channel & Community Leadership:
Build and own community engagement strategies across relevant digital channels (e.g., Reddit, TikTok, coaching forums) to cultivate an authentic, passionate user base for the consumer product.
Tech Leverage & Automation
- AI-First Marketing Stack:
Be our expert in leveraging generative AI, automation tools, and no-code solutions to maximize team output. This role requires
hands-on implementation
of a highly automated marketing workflow (content creation, ad optimization, personalization, analytics). - Data-Driven Scrappiness:
Establish a robust reporting infrastructure to track, measure, and optimize performance across both B2B and B2C funnels, ensuring every dollar spent has a clear, high-ROI purpose.
Brand, Content & Integrity
- Unifying Narrative:
Craft a single, powerful narrative that connects the technical objectivity of the enterprise product (fairness, integrity) with the performance benefits of the consumer product (coaching, self-improvement). - High-Leverage Content:
Personally drive the creation of compelling content—from executive-level white papers on "AI and Sports Integrity" to viral, short-form video content demonstrating product value for the consumer market. - Brand Trust:
Proactively manage the conversation around AI in judging/officiating, positioning
Owl AI
as an essential layer of integrity and accuracy, not a replacement for human skill.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of marketing experience, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role at an early-stage, high-growth SaaS or AI startup.
- Proven B2C/D2C Growth Hacking is mandatory.
Must demonstrate successful execution of cost-effective customer acquisition for a digital product (e.g., mobile app, subscription service). - Expertise in Unconventional Marketing:
Direct experience successfully planning and executing guerrilla marketing, viral campaigns, or other low-budget, high-impact tactics. - Technical Marketing Prowess:
Demonstrable skill in leveraging modern marketing automation, analytics, and Generative AI tools to optimize workflows and reduce reliance on large teams. - Deep understanding of the Sports Technology ecosystem and its primary stakeholders (Leagues, Athletes, Coaches, and Fans).
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills—must be comfortable speaking the language of a League Commissioner
and
a high school coach.
Why Join Owl AI?
This is not a budget-to-manage job; it is a market-to-win job. You will be the defining force behind the narrative of a technology that will impact the integrity of sports and the development of the next generation of athletes. If you want autonomy, outsized impact, and the chance to use every trick and technology available to dominate a new market, this is your launchpad.
