Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud DBA with strong expertise in cloud-based database technologies. The ideal candidate will primarily work with Azure MSSQL and have hands-on experience with other database platforms including Azure PostgreSQL, MongoDB (Atlas), and Databricks. Familiarity with data engineering, data lakes, and cloud data management is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor, and optimize cloud-based databases on Azure.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure MSSQL and PostgreSQL environments.
  • Work with MongoDB Atlas and other NoSQL databases for application requirements.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams on data pipelines, ETL processes, and data lake architectures.
  • Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Assist in cloud migration, upgrades, and troubleshooting database-related issues.
  • Implement best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability in cloud environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6 to 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator in cloud environments.
  • Strong expertise in Azure MSSQL administration.
  • Experience with Azure PostgreSQL, MongoDB Atlas, Databricks, and data lakes.
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts and cloud-based data workflows.
  • Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
  • Familiarity with Big Data and analytics platforms in Azure.
  • Certification in Azure Database Services or related cloud technologies.
